If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything?
Don't worry. He's done all this in 11 months -- so you'll have 3 years and 1 month to come up with an answer.
Definitely a must see!
'After three weeks of lectures and receptions in New York, Einstein paid a visit to Washington.
For reasons fathomable only to those who live in that city, the Senate decided to debate the theory of relativity. On the House side of the Capitol, Representative J. J. Kindred of New York proposed placing an explanation of Einstein’s theories in the Congressional Record.
David Walsh of Massachusetts rose to object. Did Kindred understand the theory?
“I have been earnestly busy with this theory for three weeks,” Kindred replied, “and am beginning to see some light.”
But what relevance, he was asked, did it have to the business of Congress?
“It may bear upon the legislation of the future as to general relations with the cosmos.” '

A cutie
Here is a great little tidbit I picked up last week.
Theorem: Let N be any odd number, not a multiple of 5. Then there is a number consisting of a string of 9's which it divides into.
Let N be, say, 2009. Consider the 2010 numbers 9, 99, 999, 9999, 99999, ... up to 99999...9 (2010 9's)
Divide 2009 into each of them. There can only be 2009 remainders (0,1,2,...2008) so two remainders must be the same for two of the numbers by the pigeonhole principle. Call these numbers a and b.
So,
a = 2009p + r and
b = 2009q + r.
Assume a > b.
So a - b = 2009(p - q). So 2009 divides a - b, a number which looks like 999999...00000 where the number of 0's equals the number of digits of b.
But 2009 cannot be a multiple of 10, being an odd number not a multiple of 5, so 2009 divides 9999999...9999, a string of 9's equal to the number of digits of a minus the number of digits of b.

Do you feel Members of Congress should be forced to enroll themselves in the health care plan they vote for?
